Which browsers are supported and measured by Heatmap & Session Recording?

The plugin has been tested with several browsers, devices and operating systems.

• Viewing the generated heatmaps and recorded session videos works in all browsers that Matomo (Piwik) supports as well (eg IE10+, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, …).
• Tracking heatmap activities works on pretty much all browser versions, even older versions of Firefox, Chrome, and others. Only Internet Explorer requires at least version 10.
• Recording sessions works on pretty much all browser versions as well, even older versions of Firefox, Chrome, and others. Only Internet Explorer requires at least version 11.
• The tracker has been tested even on older browsers like IE6+ and won’t break your website. If a browser is not supported it will simply not record activities and not affect your website in any way.
