How do I import data from WP Statistics plugin into Matomo for WordPress?

This guide applies if you are using our Matomo for WordPress plugin. It does not apply if you are using Matomo On-Premise or Matomo Cloud.

Matomo can import your historical data from WP Statistics, so you don’t lose any data when you migrate from WP Statistics to Matomo for WordPress.

If you have both WordPress plugins enabled, then a link will appear in the WordPress Admin menu called « Matomo Analytics -> Import WP Statistics ».

Click on this link to see the up-to-date instructions on how to migrate the data. It will require the official WP-CLI tool to be installed as well as that you have access to the command line of your WordPress server in order to execute the needed WP CLI command.
