How long is each release of Matomo maintained (LTS)?

Our standard approach at Matomo is to fix bugs in new releases, e.g. 5.0.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.3, 5.1.0 etc. Older versions do not receive patches except for critical and security bugs in the Long Term Support version – learn more). Therefore, please keep your Matomo updated to the latest version to get security updates and new features.

Each newly released version includes many improvements which may include bug fixes and security improvements, so make sure you upgrade to the latest stable version before reaching out for help in the forums or for paid support.
