Matomo 5.1.2

We are proud to announce Matomo 5.1.2: a new release of Matomo Analytics.

What’s new?

A patch update is available for Matomo 5 that includes a couple of security fixes and a fix for issues running Matomo on MariaDB 11.5.

MariaDB problems

An issue was reported where Matomo installations using MariaDB 11.5 encountered the error « Illegal mix of collations for operation » due to incompatible database collation settings. More details on this issue can be found in our FAQ.
This issue has now been fixed.

Security release

This release contains some security fixes.

A high impact security fix is included in this release, an improper request parameter validation could lead to unnecessary resource consumption

A moderate impact security improvement is also included that limits the length of annotations to 255 characters.

These issues were responsibly disclosed to our Security team. Our security bug bounty program welcomes & rewards researchers who discover and responsibly report to us any security issues found in Matomo or any of the plugins created by Matomo/InnoCraft.
