How to free trial and purchase Matomo Premium Features

Matomo’s premium features can help elevate your analytics capabilities. We understand the importance of making an informed decision and that is why we offer a 30-day free trial for every premium feature before committing to a purchase. If you are not satisfied with a premium feature within this period, you can cancel your subscription at no cost.

Trials will convert to a monthly subscription after 30 (thirty) days if no cancellation notice is received within the trial period.

Matomo On-Premises

On-premises users can start free trials from the in-app Matomo Marketplace page.

1. Click the Start Free Trial button for a selected premium feature.
2. A pop-up displays showing details about the feature with the number of users and annual subscription amount. This is preselected based on the users detected for your Matomo instance and can be changed if necessary.
3. Click Add to Cart and a new window opens on the Matomo web shop with the selected premium feature automatically added to the cart.
4. Click View cart to review your order before clicking Proceed to Checkout.
   
5. Complete the billing information and payment method details and then click Buy now.
6. After checkout is complete, your licence key displays on the order confirmation page. You will also receive this licence key by email.
7. If this is the first time you are activating your licence key, copy this key to your clipboard or note editor.
8. Open Matomo > Administration > Plugins > License key and paste the key in the field and click Activate.
9. You can click Install Purchased Plugins to install all purchased plugins or open the Matomo > Marketplace page and click the enabled Install button for the activated premium feature. Directly from the Matomo Marketplace

1. Create a Marketplace account, if you do not have one.
2. Select the premium feature you want to trial and click Add to Cart.
3. When you are ready to checkout, click View cart where you can remove or edit the item quantity, or apply a valid coupon. Click Update cart if you made any changes.
4. Click Proceed to checkout.
5. Complete the billing information and payment method details and then click Buy now.
6. After checkout is complete, your licence key displays on the order confirmation page. You will also receive this licence key by email.
7. If this is the first time you are activating your licence key, copy this key to your clipboard or note editor.
8. Open Matomo > Administration > Plugins > License key and paste the key in the field and click Activate.
9. Go to the Matomo > Marketplace page and click the enabled Install button for the activated premium feature. Note you may need to refresh the page to see the enabled buttons.

Note: The licence key is linked to all purchased premium features, so you only need to enter the key once. The next time you purchase a premium feature, click on Install Purchased Plugins to immediately enable all premium features you have access to.
